CHAPTER 1
Of the Pein Trilogy
Suspicions
My eye lids slowly slid open to see my brightly colored room. There was no windows though. Also there was only one light. Yet the room was always strangely light. I could here my brother and sister down stairs. The feeling of actually sleeping and having to wake up is very strange. For we only sleep once a month. Which is amazing compared to normal people who have to sleep once a week. On Sunday, now known as the day as rest. I slowly pushed back the soft blanked and turned over. I went over to the far wall of the room and put my hand on a glass panel on the wall. It than scanned my hand and confirmed it was me. It was nice having rich parents. Although we are not very sure what they do I enjoy the high tech stuff we have. As soon as the wall was done with making sure it was me the door slid to the left opening into my closet. I quickly took out a black shirt with blue writing on it saying Scourge, a cloths company. I slid on some dark jeans and picked out some white shoes. Isaac, my brother, and Haiku, my sister, was bugged me on end about my like of wearing darker cloths. And how I would die my hair black. Although I had very short hair. It gave me a dark look. So speaking, for some reason I enjoyed it.
My parents had painted my room bright colors to maybe inspire me to wear brighter colors. After getting dressed and locking my closed again. I than pushed my door open and walked into the hall leading down to the stairs. As soon as I reach the bottom of the stairs and saw Haiku and Isaac sitting at there glaring at me I realized what I had forgotten. "Why didn't you wake me up!?" I blurted out.
"Uh, just maybe cause that would of been a little obvious," replied Haiku is a disgusted tone.
"Not just that but, mum and dad didn't want us to," Isaac added. Wearing a face of not so much of disgust but of disappointment.
"So have they already left?" I asked in a desperate tone. Trying to hide my anger from my face.
"Leaving," Haiku proclaimed in a matter of fact tone. I quickly ran over to the window to see my parents small, yet expensive, car driving off.
"So when will they be back?" I asked in a sad tone.
"Believe it or not they actually gave us a real date this time," said Isaac. I was a little taken back. When ever parents went on their little business trips they always said be prepared for them to be gone a long time. "They said they will be back on Wednesday."
"Well I think the only way to find out what their business trips are, is to finally go up and ask them. Instead of doing one of your crazy ideas of just trying to go sneak into their car!" said Haiku in a frustrated tone. Haiku really was in a bad mood today. Even Isaac took a step away form her. She tended to get violent sometimes. Although most the time she was the most kind in the family she still had her dark side.
"I agree," sighed Isaac, "Just wont happen to be as much fun."
"Man I disagree but I have both of you against me so what choice do I have," I said it a some what defeated tone. "I mean as so many time you guys plainly point out that I am the youngest"
"Alright it is decided, as soon as they get back, we don't stop interrogating them tell we find out what all these strange business trips are about!" said Isaac in a triumphant voice.
"Man I wish you wouldn't have to use big words like interrogating," I said, not to mention I did not please the way he tried to act like a leader because he was the oldest.
"Well than I suggest we go find something to do so we are not driven crazy waiting," and that is Haiku ended the conversation.

I'm intrigued.
Cool, good job. I'm excited to hear more!
I can't decide if it would be great or horrible to only sleep once a week (I don't think I would be a special character in your book that only goes down once a month). I like sleeping so much ...
